I bet...

if the ceremony was this much fun the reception was the best ever!

I love it when people think outside the box!

Trinity's World

A picture of Trin at Summer Kids Club ... I ran an action on all the pictures to make them seem older to go with the craft, which was an old looking frame. She had a great time, as did all the kids. We saw record numbers this year! I didn't get to stay to see the slideshow on Friday night, though. Our water heater burst in the middle of the night Thursday so I had to come home and help clean while Jess and Uncle John put the new one in. It's just as well, I would have picked all my pictures a part anyway. What is that?! I recieved several enthusiastic compliments on the individuals and I had to fight the urge to say, They are really not that good.... I watched Heather get up at the quilt guild to share a quilt she had finished and it was really beautiful. She pointed out the flaws in it, though. So, I guess it's not just me who struggles with accepting compliments. Must be a girl thing, though, cause I don't know a single guy who has that problem.

Cute Trin Story from today... We got some glow sticks and let her have one at bedtime tonight. She put it in her mouth and I said that wasn't a good idea.
Why? she asked Will you DIE?!
No, I said, but it could make you sick. Besides it wouldn't taste good.
Really? she replies Have you tasted one?
Well, no, I say, but I am sure it wouldn't taste good because it's not food.
She ponders this for a moment and comes out with....Well, I think it's Jelly Bean Juice in there, but I won't eat it.

Being that I haven't actually tasted one, I guess I just can't know which of us is right, LOL.

Talyn's Summer Vacation

Talyn left for Florida today with Aunt Angel. He was really apprehensive about flying today and it was hard to see him struggle with fear. He cried at the airport, but tried to be brave and quickly rubbed his tears away. That broke my heart. I cried on the way home. All part of growing up, I know. Both of us are growing.. he is learning to stand on his own faith and strength. I am learning when to let him stand strong... I am in constant conflict with that mothering instinct that screams in my head- QUICK! Pull him back in to the safe circle of our family and protect him always.

I told him on the way to the airport that when he felt fearful to pray about it. He looked at me in the rear view mirror with a DUH look on his face and said, Mom I prayed about it 5 times at summer kids club. I assured him that God was listening to each and every prayer. It brought me peace to know that he brought it to God first and then me.

The psalm at Summer Kids Club today was Be Still and Know That I am God.

I think I will go do that for awhile.

My Jet Set Girls and Some Happy News!

Click on the pictures to see them bigger.

Cori had the BIG ultrasound this week. My nephew, Vincent Michael, will join our family in November. Talyn is relieved, to put it lightly.

The girls enjoyed their stay with Gramma-I took some pictures of them right before they left. It was so hard to see Trinny go. It was her first year and she looked so little standing at the airport. When I was loading up their luggage I found that Sylver had labeled her backpack. Triny did really well with the separation. She is home already! That ten days went really fast. Talyn will join Sylver in Florida with Gramma on Thursday and then our family will be reunited at the end of the month! Sylver will spend next week at horse camp and she only found out about it tonight! She is just Over The Moon!! What a huge blessing for her and us. Thank You very much Heavenly Father for my mother. She is an amazing grandmother.

The Creation Station...

I made Trinny a new dress... I would normally never put black on a child under ten, but I messed up the baby doll top I was making for Cori (don't worry Cori I ordered some more fabric!). Happy Mistake! The photo shoot was FUN and Trin was quite the little performer as you can see. The pout was me saying "Give Me Sad"!

We had an earthquake!

SO weird, but we had an earthquake this morning! The house shook for about 5 seconds while I was in the shower. Talyn ran upstairs and said, Mom what WAS that?! I figured it was a plane or a refinery explosion or construction, but according to the local news it was a 2.8 earthquake.

Some interesting Delaware earthquake facts Talyn and I looked up.
