You know that song, "I love the Night Life, I Love to Boogie" ?? (found a link to the original song and video... it's worth a giggle, snort, laugh, itself!!)

I heard Trin singing that song yesterday, only it was,

A picture of Trin at Summer Kids Club ... I ran an action on all the pictures to make them seem older to go with the craft, which was an old looking frame. She had a great time, as did all the kids. We saw record numbers this year! I didn't get to stay to see the slideshow on Friday night, though. Our water heater burst in the middle of the night Thursday so I had to come home and help clean while Jess and Uncle John put the new one in. It's just as well, I would have picked all my pictures a part anyway. What is that?! I recieved several enthusiastic compliments on the individuals and I had to fight the urge to say, They are really not that good.... I watched Heather get up at the quilt guild to share a quilt she had finished and it was really beautiful. She pointed out the flaws in it, though. So, I guess it's not just me who struggles with accepting compliments. Must be a girl thing, though, cause I don't know a single guy who has that problem.

Cute Trin Story from today... We got some glow sticks and let her have one at bedtime tonight. She put it in her mouth and I said that wasn't a good idea.
Why? she asked Will you DIE?!
No, I said, but it could make you sick. Besides it wouldn't taste good.
Really? she replies Have you tasted one?
Well, no, I say, but I am sure it wouldn't taste good because it's not food.
She ponders this for a moment and comes out with....Well, I think it's Jelly Bean Juice in there, but I won't eat it.

Being that I haven't actually tasted one, I guess I just can't know which of us is right, LOL.

Trinity...

has a phenomenal imagination. She makes my little pony villages around her treehouse in living room and will play with them for hours. That orange striped box in the picture (click on it to see it bigger) has been a cave, a boat, a hat and the cat scratching pads that where in it became the pony's airplane. I love to sit near by, pretend to read a book and listen to her spin her tales in her imaginary world. She has a really sharp sense of humor and that comes out in her play. She is pretty darn cute, too! She is losing the baby look more every day and really lengthening out. She is starting to look less like a preschooler and more like a kid... SIGH...I don't recall giving her permission to do that.

Trinity is the Funniest 4 year old I Know

Sylver tried to teach Trin to skateboard at her request. Trin quickly decided that HER way was much more fun! The pictures say more than I ever could.

Trinity wore blue jeans today-you haven't seen adorable till you have seen Trin in a pair of bootcut blue jeans! She and Sylver where playing on the floor and Trin did a split... sort of. The jeans made it impossible to do a full blown split. 

Sylver had her Grover stuffed animal on the floor in front of her. It went something like this...

Sylver-"Look, Mommy, Trinity can do a split in jeans! Almost..."

Me-"Cool, Trin."

Sylver-"Look, Trin,  Grover can do a FULL split..."

Trin -insert a VERY indignant tone of voice here- 

"Well, Grover isn't wearing PANTS, Sylver!"

Trinity is four, which translates in to "Extremely Literal"

While making dinner tonight, the busiest time of the day, Trin was snacking on dried out fruit. Ariya was trying to convince Trin to give her some, but I had already warned Trin that it was a choke hazard. 

Trinity was giving me a long drawn out play by play about how she was NOT giving Ari any of the fruit, and I was half listening/half tuning her out while I worked around the kitchen. 

"Thanks for Sharing, Trin" I kind of mindlessly put out there at a pause in the conversation.... meaning thanks for sharing her little story. 

"But Mommy, I'm NOT sharing! You said DON'T share!" I was startled out of my work trance by Jesse laughing and assuring Trin that she still wasn't to share the fruit. 

And in other news....

Have you guys seen those commercials "I am a scientist" on the Discovery Channel?? Catchy little I am a scientist song.... the kids have been singing that song with their own words all day. 

Talyn has been dubbed the Weird-ing-tist by Sylver.

Ari has been dubbed the Squidgy-tist by Talyn. (Squidgy according to Talyn is Cute and Squishy)

Trinity has been dubbed the Cute-ing-tist by Trinity, LOL.

Sylver managed to escape a tist title, although I am not sure how. 

And I will be VERY grateful if I wake up in the morning and that song is not running over and over again in my head.

Things You Might Not Know About Trin....
1. She is left handed.... no one in my family is and Jesse says he thinks Bri might be. She switches back and forth pretty easily, though we don't ask her to.
2. She can do a split on command. Seriously. It makes Jesse and I cringe she drops so fast.
3. She is a little insecure-don't laugh!- She has developed typical middle child syndrome in the last 9 months.

Trinity Throwing Herself Dramatically On The Floor

"Oohhh I'm Ariya and I'm Really Annoying"

I think we need to have a talk about feelings....

Approximately 1 hour after I put the kids to bed for the 3rd time I hear.... what else? Trinity. 

Me, in a very irritated tone, 

"Trinity, WHY do I hear your voice?"

Trinity

"Ummmmmmmmm......." long drawn out sound while she ponders the answer to this very perplexing question.

Then victoriously "Cause I was talking!"

Forget it, after that I was laughing so hard along with Talyn and Sylver no reprimand would have been effective.
